A male Bactrian camel named Eli was born at the Saint Louis Zoo on March 11, 2010 weighing 98 pounds. On a cool spring morning a couple weeks later, he and his sister Saarai, were playfully horsing around at their Red Rocks habitat. Saarai is almost one year old.
The critically endangered species is native to Mongolia in central Asia. Baby camels are born with two humps, like their parents, but at birth these lay flat against their sides until they can store up energy-rich fat.

It's a pity that the bactrian camels in the wild are now less than 800 while the domesticated have over 1.4 million.
