@kaiyoshi2243 Ours were quite old when I rode them, I was in kindergarten in 2000-2001 lol. But I know they were gassers. I moved away from there and rode brand new AmTran RE's after that.

@htfkid2000 I JUST LOVE THE SOUND OF THOSE GM ENGINES TOO. GLAD THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO LOVE V8 TRUCK AND BUS GASOLINE ENGINES BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE TRASH THEM IN FAVOR OF THE DIESEL ONES. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS A KID OUR 345 V8 INTERNATIONAL LOADSTAR BLOW THE LID OFF THE CATERPILLAR 3208 V8 DIESEL ONES.....

i love the sound of those GM Bus engines!

I wish they still Made the Blue Bird Busses with the GMC fronts! Right now our districts in the process of converting our remaining GmC fleet to International IC CE 300's... Luckly we have over 120 buses and only about 30 of them are the new diesel ones.
Since Im low on the seniority list im bound to get another old bluebird this comming fall. Can't wait to hear that Allison tranny wind up

Please make more videos of this buses transmission. It really brings me back to my childhood when I heard those gears whine from 1st-2nd gear. I loooooooooooooove it.

I had a flashback, the squeaking windows. How nice. Buses are great.

0:11-0:30 is the soundtrack of my childhood! Although we had 90's Chevy BB's.

@kyle51895 And mine too. I didn't ride a diesel bus until I was in High School. Mostly cuz our school district didn't have a lot of money. Our buses dated from 1967 to 1984's in the early 80's through 90's.

I used a Canon camera on a tripod. I hope that answered your question.

You're welcome.
I found some of the old recordings that still sound good. I just need to get them together in a slide show thing. I wish I could've found that old recording of that 1978 International with the screaming 345 and allison AT 500... but I couldn't find it.
