  • Hi namrog11, With the economy down final design build is slow going, the said we are working on the Sandpiper model which is only four ft in diameter and made for Boats and RVs, yes the start up speed is low. depending on what battery voltage you use will determine at what speed you can charge batteries, a six volt battery system would start charging before twelve volt system. Before we sell a product, the bird will be designed to withstand 125 mph. Please check out the SandPiper videos. Thanks

  • Wow, this thing is still a beaut. I really like checking out all the different designs of wind turbines, but yours just has another quality about it, it really attracts me. what is the power output like on this size? does having such a small generator, limit the amperage, thus limiting the overall watts? hmm... have you yet thought about building a 'Industrial Sized' model?

  • @kazooka1 Industrial is contemplated, Inventing this bird was nothing compared to getting the funding, which means picking good dance partners that care for life on Mother earth. Thank you for the kind words, she is a winner, keep in mind what your seeing is an early prootype, the real bird will have the genny inside what I call the t assembly and will be direct drive. Someday I envision standing up on a huge version of the bird. Again thanks for the kind words.

  • Hi piestrak, If you read some of the other post, you'll see just where things are at. We need an angel investestor to put out the production version, it'll happen when it's to happen. I sure do appreciate your appreciation for the design concept, in flight she's a pretty bird like no other. I do believe in this project but never thought it'd take this long to get up and going. The economy is down and money is tight and investors are cautious. Thanks for the interest!

  • I would like to buy one of these, but don't know the price, nor the performance characteristics. What are the payback figures for a spiralairfoil? I the minimum airspeed really 1.5 mph when it is actually generating electricity? What is the maximum windspeed it will tolerate, and what happens of wind exceeds that? Is it in production in any size yet?

  • ive got some money what are the specs
