Another clip from my DVD. This is the USS Gonzalez with a very slow breakaway after refueling! But if you like Navy ships then here you go!

@synthyis yes, EW1 (SW) Lewis here, last plankowner to leave in april 2002. just reminiscing at some of the pictures and clips out there.

I remember DC3 Hinicker tried to persuade the Captain to play "Fuel" by Metallica for a breakaway song, which would have been totally appropriate considering - this was the Captain after Allard mind you so he was fairly politically minded. Ah well, it would have been fun. DC3 Holm here....

Sorry, the U.S. Navy has no official motto.
Sometimes "Non Sibi Sed Patriae!" (Not for self, but country) is used, but there is no official one.
