I'm a new owner of the incredible Nissan Leaf, all electric car. I can't say enough about the amazing engineering of this vehicle. Because I live in a city of about 60K, this car is perfect for me, for in town driving. On the freeway, it has incredible power as well. My range is about 100 miles per charge (city driving, using the "Econo" mode). Top speed is about 95 mph. I currently plug in to a standard household 120 V outlet, and "top off" the charge overnight.

  • That sound is the sound of gas guzzlers on the highway. Ha! Annoying! I still have to listen to their noise...

  • This sucks. You're the only owner of the Nissan Leaf that I can find on Youtube. You're the only movie I've watched. There are so many Volt owner movies out there. heh. Provide us with an update soon? =)

  • Great video. Thanks for putting this together. I especially like the freeway part.

  • Your comment is not worth any effort of a decent reply.

  • @MADMANx511 not with li-ion or li-po batteries. you can charge these whenever you like. it's even better not to drain them fully before charging. and about hydrogen powered cars, where are you going to get the hydrogen from?

  • The Electric car is dead. Hydrogen-powered cars are the future. The main issue with Electric cars, is they take forever to charge and are out of charge quickly. The batteries need replacing every 5-10 years. An issue with batteries is that it is bad to charge them before they are very low. Charging those batteries every night is actually shortening their life.

Also where does the electricity come from? Burning fossil fuels - Not eco.

I'll stick with my petrol powered 4x4 beast, thanks.

  • I think it would be better to have the charge unite on the side.. because most of the time people have accidents and smash the front or back, so how will you be able to charge your car? You'd have to immediately get it repaired or buy another car, so then I have a question, when is a good time to say your vehicle is totaled? The Chevy Volt has it on the side, yet I know both are excellent cars.

  • Great review!!

  • nice review. hard to find someone who just gives the facts.

  • Great video. Nice to see a review from an actual owner. I couldn't buy a Leaf a year ago so I bought a Think City. Leaf looks like it has more horsepower and space. I top out at 70 mph and go 80 miles for about a buck.

  • Nice video! The question which pretty interesting to me is climate control on Nissan Leaf good enough? Is it heats and cool well?
