@sovathfan And Where could I get the mount? Because I'm planning on using the Ravelli AVTP Professional 75mm Video Camera Tripod. Wonder if that mount would fit.
Thanks Han.

Beautiful job in reviewing this crane. I just purchased one and watching your video review gave me some needed information. Your use of velcro to attach the TV monitor solves a problem I am having in how to attach a Coby monitor to the crane I also notice that you had the attachment to lock the crane (I see that I need to get that attachment) and your use of the bag to help get the perfect balance is a great idea. Your crane use inserts are also very nice.

@scrow9 I strongly suggest not using a cheap tripod. You get what you pay for in the video industry.
The ProAm stand is ok, but its price is so cheap due to the plastic pieces used for the stand. I wondered why I would need to put in a pin for the stand... that's because the plastic clamp wont be able to hold the load bearing down so it'll slide (crash) down. The pin will stop that.
The bearing mount is required if you wish to mount it to the tripod. Good jib for the cost overall though.

Well thought out review. Thanks.

I just bought the 4 foot version basic kit but haven't yet decided if I should get the stand from ProAm or use a more traditional tripod. I am hoping that I can use a cheap tripod I have hanging around because it's only a 4 foot jib (that's what OliviaTech on Vimeo shows) but on the other hand the ProAm stand is only $60
If I go for the stand do you think I need the extra rotating bearing mount with it? I've never seen the bearing mount mentioned before so this was new info

At least any good videographer knows that =P

Great review, I thought the 8ft might be a bit much but I guess u could use it indoors as well?
A lot of people have asked what cameras I use. I used to use the HG10 from canon and now I shoot with an JVC gyhm100u and two canon 7Ds. One with 11-16 Tokina lens and the regular 24-70 F2.8 L lens. Both are awsome. For critical focusing I shoot with the 100F2.0 lens as well. Check out my Review of the High Def Monitor from Pro-Am or my recent projects at ParadigmD.
Cheers,
Han
