pendolino drag Hornby

Hornby pendolino being dragged by a Bachmann class 57 Thunderbird. The thunderbird does genuinely couple to the Pendo via a home made coupling NOT SHOWN . The video was taken with a mobile so is not the best quality. The idea came from watching the youtube Levington video's and the coupling was produced with tips fron the Levington layout owner .

Firstly remove the front plough from the pendolino body. Then I made a brass link which was fixed to the bottom centre of the front bogey it must be able to pivot without fouling the wheels. The front of the link had a kadee coupling attached and that was that

the problem with a dummy car is the couplings.

With dcc you can set the trains up to move at the same time so it looks like they are coupled together
