I heard this song many years ago. I have just discovered this lady, Doris Akers. I love her singing "It's a highway to heaven"
She played that pianos.

Nancy Harmon recorded this song also. Doris Akers was a great influence on Nancy and she sang/sings quite a few of Doris's songs. She was a powerhouse!

One of my favorite songs to play in church is Sweet Sweet Spirit written by Doris, but I must say no one can do her songs justice beyond her. She is absolutely GREAT! Thanks for posting some of her work.
