@MJDx32 I second that! =) I was looking for this dude all day but for some reason his name just escaped me. Man I am so glad I learned about this guy in Jazz Appreciation at my college.

@ravenkiller1 Haha best comment ever dude

wow! he combines Blues slide and Travis picking, I've never heard of him before

@MelvinWren ha ha, no not quite what I meant. I did have one inbetween A and G# once though, not much use! The factory had to recall them.

@jamesmac1976 you have a pitch fork in E? didn't know they made those.

@busessuck1 and kotze5 no its not an instruction video as such, but for any guitarist out there, a video like this is an education. Watching is a great way to learn, much better than listening alone. I bet he learned a lot by watching others play. And guitarist or not, this is a video, it is here to be viewed.

@matthewtj887 open E, unless every instrument I have, my electric tuner, pitchfork and pitchpipes are simultaneously confused.

Fred McDowell is never listed among the greatest guitar players, and I don't understand why. His technique is amazing; he puts many other so-called "guitar" players to shame.

Fred McDowell would hollow out one of Simon Cowell's vertebrae, slip it over his finger and use it as a slide.
