He went to the ER that night and had he taken 1 more hit, he would have been dead. I forget the exact injury it was, but he was VERY SERIOUSLY injured. Why risk death in a fight you won't win anyway I think he did the right thing (Just like when Vitaly quit against Byrd, had he gone on, he probably would have had to retire).
