Hey everybody! Just doing a vocal cover! I did this mostly because I was BORED OUT OF MY MIND from the heat and since it was so hot, my voice was shaky and didn't turn out so great. My screams were good though! I want to do a full screaming cover of something eventually.

  • i think you can sing pretty good..this just wasn't your song..try some escape the fate, or bless the fall. good luck :)

  • @itsjustme2471 True about the song. But I'm still not all that sure I can do very well with clean singing. My screaming isn't all that great either but its getting better since I'm still fairly new with it. But thank you ^^

  • @Wolfer0624 Yeah, I didn't realiz ethat at the time, hahaha. It was terrible. But it happened and hopefully will never happen again :P

  • @freakfreak12345 Oooo... yeah, that's a no-no haha. Carbination is BAD for your vocal cords. Even though learning the technique correctly, I've never went as far as 'blowing my voice'; it was just weak. I'm hopin' later on next summer to tackle a more professional video on vocal tips and tutorials (I've heard of a class earlier this semester that actually talks about how medication and other stuff effects your instrument, and that's interestin' to look into) : )

  • @Wolfer0624 Yeah. I learned THAT the hard way. I used to drink sprite when I was learning back in December. I blew out my voice for a few weeks :P Now I'm better than I used to be and the only thing I'll drink is the warm water at any point during screaming :P

  • @freakfreak12345 I used to had a belief from videos that green tea was suppose to be good for you vocally, but in the realm of screaming, it wasn't true at all haha. Plain, old water does the trick. Everything else (apart from say 'Vitamin Water') seems to have some form of ingredient that could be dangerous to the instrument when it comes to screaming.

  • @Wolfer0624 I'll rephrase; I mean 'Room Temperature' when you do your vocal work-outs. Anytime else doesn't matter haha

  • @Wolfer0624 I do! I usually have a bottle of room temp, really old, water sitting around my desk for when I scream. It helps a lot. I've heard as well, if you buy a bottle of pure lemon juice, that will help losen up your vocal cords too, but I don't know how realiable that is :P

  • @freakfreak12345 I doubt weather affects your vocal technique very (unless it's like at the breakpoint of dehydrating you like mad). Do you drink plenty of (room-temperature) water? My screams were a bit flaky over the past year or so likely because I wasn't taking into consideration to drinking a decent amount of water throughout the day (a harsh thing... especially with being athletic (equals double trouble for the vocal instrument unless hydrated, and taken care of)). ... Wow, too long haha.

  • @Wolfer0624 Yeah :P Same with me. And when I'm warm my vocals shake like hell ;) I've not tried singing in the winter though, haha.
