Brave Hearts Wellness Project for war heroes

Construction work on the Brave Hearts Wellness Resort in Anuradhapura has been launched. It would provide lifelong care to totally disabled soldiers.
The Project consists of cottage villa type of buildings initially for 52 fully disabled soldiers. The construction will entirely be handled by the Sri Lanka Army Engineering Regiment. It will also provide facilities for the relatives of these soldiers to visit them. Abimansala the first Wellness Resort at a cost of 200 million rupees is coming up at Nuwarawewa Lakeside in Anuradhapura. A few more centres will come up at Regional Level. The Project is mooted by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Army.
The construction work was launched this morning in parallel to the Ranaviru Week.
The foundation stone for the resort was laid today under the patronage of Army Commander Lt. Gen. Jagath Jayasuriya. Members of the Maha Sangha led by Chief Incumbent of the Atamastana, the Ven. Pallegama Siri Nivasa thera and the clergy of other religions were present to extend their blessings.
