  • NGK does not recommend multi-ground electrode spark plugs for replacement where the original plug design did not call for them. This does not mean a multi-ground electrode plug would not work, but by application, NGK makes no recommendation.

  • Thank you for the truth! way to go NGK

  • I was really surprised to hear the video actually point out the big flaw and misconception about the multi-ground electrode plugs.

There are a lot of companies that make it seem like having more than one ground allows you to ignite the mixtures better and faster, when in reality you are significantly hurting your combustion efficiency at a cost of being able to run a plug longer.... good stuff.

  • i have an Mercedes E200 Kompressor....when i buy it she have sparck with 3 plugs.....i chenge them ...with a bosch 1 plug sparck....0000.....i replace them with the old NGK 3 plug spark...

  • The pure understanding of combustion is ignition of the fuel air mixture. The single unit over the 2,3, and 4 is the ability to ignite all areas together the single with a standard electrode offers agreat wide platform of spark, thus a bigger spark which equels a better stronger explosion. multi units block the spark from areas of fuel air ready to fire. Very simple .

  • i use ngk laser platinums on my impreza cause that's what the manual asks for. but the manual also asks to replace the plugs every 30k miles!?

  • @Limou551 i agree with you....

  • @CapnCrossbones i mean the singe electrode Irridiums btw they do not burn out easy and they are cheaper than multi electrodes.
