only thing missing is good fuel economy, and this is what we want.

my 2001 honda civic now has 200,000 miles and im still holding hope subaru will bring a boxer diesel AWD to the USA before im forecd to buy another gasser! VW is not a option as a friends jetta sportwagon lost a turbo and vw would not cover it.
-
Bring it stateside and I will buy!
-
Bring it to the US already.

Shame indeed. Why the hell not? What will it take for the Boxer Diesel to make it here, eh? It gets better gas mileage than its similar boxer gasoline engine. It provides more low-end torque than the gasoline boxer. It doesn't make sense that it's not allowed here in this country, where fuel economy is becoming more and more imperative.

I'd love to see the Boxer Diesel engine here in the USA and Canada. Imagine the possibilities. Besides the Outback, the Forester and, possibly the Impreza, I can see the VW Vanagon Diesel with a boxer diesel engine as a good alternative engine.
-
i'll take the outback, when is it coming to the us.

Trabant made in Japan

It's not only "similar" its the same basic blueprint. And the STi Engine is a 4 cyl 1 turbo version of the Turbo's 6 TT....
-
It is less expensive than gasoline, but it's still pricey.
Bring it to North America, Subaru!!
