  • Wow what a great ideal with vest/quilt thing, great mod!

  • @karenchakey Thank you GF, you going hiking any any time soon? Have a great day.

  • Have you done a how to video on how to make your jumbo sleeping pad. I want to make one and wonder if you have the floor plan specs or diagram or even pattern you could share. A video on it would be ideal! You have some exceptional ideas and will create the down underquilt.

  • @LoveRise Ya take a look at my vid "Skeeter Beater Modified" It shows my DIY insulation pad near middle of Vid. but I like your idea so I may make a vid on how i made id with dimensions.

  • I think its a 550 or 600 and it lofts well. Last time I was at the thrift store they had 3 vest on the rack. Thanks for watching.

  • @BigTVideos Yes I liked that video because my favorite hammock is the skeeter Beater. I don't like Henneseys for the bottom entry. Yet I just scored a Hennesey zip which I may like better than the Grand Trunk but for now it's Skeeter Beater for me and I really need to make one of those Pads. I'm also trying to devise a way to prevent is from slipping around in the hammock. I also just scored the neo air pad from an Rei garage sale for cheap. So your videos are timely. Keep up the great work!

  • You are so lucky! Being able to find a down vest at a thrift store, really, chances are that vest costed like at least $50 new. Do you know the fill and does it loft well to be a vest?

  • Awesome idea with the duel purpose vest !! That is really a great ides especially for late summer and fall, you probably will want more insulation than that but that is up to you..I think if you used a bigger down coat you could make and sell them. just a thought..

  • @supertramp71 Thank you Sir

  • @shugemery Thanks Shug what do you think of Backpacking Willy? he is everything NOT guy. thanks much.
