Skyforger- Kad Ūsiņš jāj.(When Usins rides). Pērkoņkalve 2003. Hei, ziemeļu ļaudis, vai dzirdat kā dzied
Jau pirmie putni un sniegpulkstenītes zied
Lūzt upēs ledus, zem plānā sniega
Tā Zemes māte, kas mostas no miega

Stāv dzidra debess līdz apvārsnim vaļā,
Tur gribas skriet, no prieka kliegt balsī skaļā;
Aiz kalniem taures svētku ziņu sauc
Smagiem pakaviem dārdot, šai zemē Ūsiņš brauc

Pār debesu kalnu, kumeļā baltā
Uz laukiem, ko pirmā zāle klāj;
Kopā ar silto vasaras sauli,
Tā katru gadu pie mums atkal Ūsiņš jāj

Nu vaidelošiem laiks, tie baltos svārkus velk,
Uz svētbirzi steidz, kur dievu ozoli aug,
Tur ugunis aizdedz un ar dziesmu teic:
Ai Ūsiņ, dievaiti, tavi bērni tevi sveic!

  • @llewllyn79 Well. I am not polish. I am lithuanian. And I said lithuanian words, actually... :)

  • @CiaEma

    I'm half Latvian, half Pole from Latvia.

    And I don’t know why, but it really makes me happy when polish people like this band.

    Dziękuję :)

  • Over the heavenly hill, on a white steed

    To the fields covered with the first grass

    Together with the warm sun of summer

    Like every year, Ūsiņš comes to us again

    It's the brahmins' time now, they put on white robes

    Make haste to the holy forest where oak trees grow

    They start up a bonfire and exclaim in song:

    Oh Ūsiņ, our god, your children greet thee!

    *Ūsiņš - god of spring, horses and bees

  • Hey, Notherners, do you hear

    The first birds singing, snow-drops blooming

    Ice breaks in rivers, under the thin snow

    It's Mother Earth rising from sleep

    A clear sky stretching as far as the horizon

    One craves to run there, to cry out from joy

    Over the hills horns are sending the good news

    Heavy hooves rumbling, Ūsiņš comes to this land
