Craig Smothers demonstrates tying a Puglisi style minnow streamer with a slight twist - he uses a bent hook and adds weight to the fly. This provides an almost weedless fly for use in the grass that gets down deeper quicker and makes a great minnow fly.

Filmed at the 2011 FFF Florida Council Expo in Orlando, FL

  • Nice tie, as always!

  • One thing I forgot to mention in the video is the hook point needs to be bent up ever so sightly. It really makes a difference in hook-up ratios, yet remains very weedless...Craig

  • Great tip, using the fletch tite! Gonna have to try that.

  • Nice tie. I too fish the grass. This ought to "Get'er Done"
