Er... what's wrong with this? "After the play was over" meaning any penalty would not negate the previous play. If they got a first down on the previous play, then they would still get the 1st down. The line of scrimmage would be moved according to the penalty, staying 1st and 10, not 1st and 25. He pointed towards our right when calling the penalty, assuming that is Baltimore, and pointed to our left when signaling the first down, the direction Baltimore would be going. Nothing wrong.
