I watched this video and I kinda teared up and I'm not even a thrashers fan. I do cheer for the Jets (after the Oilers, hence my username) and I wish they could've came into the league via expansion so that this wouldn't happen. There are fans in Atlanta and that day sucked for them. Understand that Jets fans just wanted another chance in the league again. They've felted the relocation feeling before in 1996. I'm from Canada and who knows maybe you'll get a team again, someday...

I feel bad for the loyal thrasher fans, who loved the team. I know the attendance was suffering, but the small fan base was a passionate one. Im happy hockey is back in Winnipeg, though. Those fans love the sport and never should have lost their team in the first place. I just don't see why it had to be you guys that left, when it should have been phoenix.

@oilerfan871 Im a (former) thrashers fan.... and obviously the day they left was tough... like the section hockey had in my childhood was erased... but to be honest, winnipeg did deserve to have a hockey team, i only wish it didn't come at the exspense of the thrashers.

If it wasn't for the thrashers i would o never been playing hockey. Now, I go to a prep school in Canada. I probably would be some loser that would make nothing out of my life if it wasn't for the thrashers introducing me to hockey.

the jacksonville jaguars and miami dolphins cant sell tickets and they play amercias favorite sport the magic keep losing superstars and amercias top league of soccer the MLS still will not bring back soccer in the southeast region again after having the miami fusion and tampa bay mutinity for a couple of seasons.

the atlanta thrashers leaving is another example of why sports in the southeast is not a good idea atlanta lost its hockey team to whinepeg??? the other three major sports in atl do not sell xcept for the hawks up 2 now n when mike vick played for the falcons, the tampa bay rays a top notch baseball team can never sell out games,

I'm a Jets fan from NE Ohio, and this is depressing. Glad to see there are true fans down there and maybe someday you'll get a third chance. A few years ago, I lost a minor league team that meant the world to me, so I know how it feels. RIP Atlanta.
