Lona Asks:
My partner has an intercepted 8th house. My Sun, Venus, Mars and Mercury all fall into this intercepted house of his. Are planets in intercepted houses in synastry the same as intercepted planets in the natal chart where they are not 'felt' as readily as a normal placement?

  • You're confusing a couple of concepts—but they're sort of confusing concepts. Using the house system you're using, yes, your Sun is in the 1st house. Your 1st house contains the entire sign of Leo. Finances are determined by the ruler of the sign on the cusp of the 2nd house, which I'm guessing is Virgo, so you would look to Mercury for those. Whole sign houses do not work well for life questions. I use Koch houses for natal charts—they give me the best results. Your mileage may vary.

  • Ok Ok so um.. Since I have Cancer rising at 22 degrees. My Sun is in Leo and Leo does not show up in the first house or the 2nd house. Are you saying the my Sun is expressed STILL in the first house? Or the second house? If so if my Sun is in Leo in my second house which is in the sign of virgo, 2nd house ruler being Taurus. Would that mean Sun is expressed through service therefore thats how I get my money? My talent is acting.
