Just going on 4 AM APRIL 2 09 IM AWOKEN TO SIRENS OUTSIDE SO I GRAB MY CAMERA TO CATCH THE POLICE STATE IN ACTION

its called officer safety, not a police state. if you were a cop pulling over a car filled with people at 4am then i think you would want some back up to. just incase something goes down. really not a big deal.

did u notice with all that overkill they never talked to the driver and they let the car go at the end? i was walking home last nite and got pulled over and asked to show my papers for no reason, where i was going and where i was coming from, i told em its none of there damn business.

u have to live in Belleville to experience the level of harassment they put out.

I can understand 2 cruisers. One for backup or whatever, but these "officers" are getting paid to intimidate and not know their constitution.

LOL i found out it was my Friend who lives in the flat downstairs getting a ride elsewhere, they ended up letting them go after asking them ridiculous questions.

I saw 3 cruisers (6 cops) pull over 1 car at the hwy 99 & 17 off ramp! Totally overkill. It's all about intimidation and control.

i did notice that they talked to the passenger for a while. perhaps they ran a background check on him and noticed he had a criminal record, so they were curious about what he was doing out that late at night. as far as your stop in the middle of the night, what time was it? the police are just trying to be proactive and stop problems before they happen and form a relationship with the community, however sometimes it doesnt work b/c they dont know how to talk to people or are rude.

It happens all the time here. I saw them messing with some blond tall kid at the bus stop one morning. They had him down making him got thru his pack. And he was just standing at the friggin bus stop waiting for the bus. I guess the donut shop was out of donuts and they didn't have anything better to do. LOL.
