On the far right of the level on the first (or second) platform is a hidden Red Stealth Helmet. His sword is very handy killing the lowest head in the sewer. Just follow him and hack n' slash. He can't hit you 'cause his so low.

That is the Cyclops crystal ability (Start + A button). Since it costs crystals, I thought it might be more effective. It was not.
