  • @SomTervo source: the Bible. you have to read it as a whole and in context. And as I said, Abrahamic and Mosaic law was not in place in Genesis, Im not just picking and choosing. Also the laws were not sin, they were merely rules God put in place. The disobedience of these rules was the sinful part. There is a difference between law and sin. And on the part about the seed being spilled. Onan was being deceitful - deceit is sin - God did not want corrupt and selfish men as fathers to Israel.

  • @JRayMalcolm Can I have a source on these claims? Further, what about Genesis? If you can pick and choose from genesis and leviticus, why bother following any of the laws? Why bother believing God created the world in six days if you're not going to believe he doesn't want you to pull out?

  • @SomTervo none of that is in context though. the laws in leviticus are for the Israelites only. after they had escaped Egypt God was preparing and refining the nation, this was Mosaic law. This law only applied until the time of Jesus as his coming fulfilled prophecy and abolished the Mosaic law. which means that as Christians, the Mosaic law DOES NOT APPLY. But, the fact that homosexuality is sin is not part of Mosaic law therefore it still applies and is still sin.

  • @JRayMalcolm Leviticus 11:10 reads, "But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you." So no shellfish! My point is it's dumb to take the bible as law or as a good guide for what to do about 75% of the time

  • @JRayMalcolm Leviticus 19:27 reads "You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard." Hope you dont like round haircuts. And Genesis 38:9-10: "Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the Lord; so He took his life also." Hope you don't pull out or masturbate!

  • @rhysnyc The Bible tells us to judge people by their fruits, homosexuality is sin so I have a responsibility to tell a brother he's wrong. as for verses, 1 corinthians 6:9-10, leviticus 18:22, leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26-27 and on and on. I know you're going to say "it's not the word homosexuality in the original greek" I know. It's fornication, which is described in the old testament as homosexuality among other things. Also Romans 1:27 explains it pretty clear without the word homosexual.

  • @josephc28 Yeah, kinda like kids bullying and beating gay kids in the name of God, and using the Bible to justify it.

  • @JRayMalcolm Not sure what Bible you're reading, because the Bible definitely does not say that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. In fact, the Bible doesn't even say the word "homosexuality" at all, not even once. If it was SO clear that Jesus was anti-gay, then I think it probably would have said that – clearly. But it doesn't.

Nice try, but no cigar. I can't believe anyone calls themselves a Christian and feels righteous enough to condemn someone to hell. What hypocrites.

  • @onebadgs400 Preach it brother/sister dont worry about the scoffers, THIS MAN IS GOING TO HELL

  • @XSTaTICPROCeSS71 and for future readers. The topic is Swilley a LEADER that has mislead his followers by hiding his sin and then justifying it. XSTaTICPROCeSS71 says don't judge and provide scriptures. Unfortunately those scriptures are irrelevant when addressing church leaders which is clearly explained in the following scriptures 1 Thess. 5:12; 1 Tim. 3:1-5; Heb. 13:7, 17; 1 Pet. 5:2-3. I warn you to stay away from Swilley and his false teachings of sin and justification. Look to GOD not man.
