Electric Kick Scooter

I built this scooter frame from scratch. I had a mongoose mini-scooter as a kid and wanted to get that thrill back as an adult, so I built one! I'm also into electric bikes, so I added an electric hub motor as well. This movie shows my daughter and friend Wes taking it out for a spin. It's a blast flying through the neighborhood. On a full charge it goes about 30 MPH with a 15ish mile range or better with good throttle management.

Hello! I just modded my kick scooter with an electric setup (geared hub / 36v / 22amp controller). My mount is on the rear tire and I am wondering if that's preventing me from hitting decent speeds. Right now I am 15-20 mph. I would like to be closer to 30. Is yours a 36v battery?

awesome..........working on building my own adult kick scooter because for some reason adult kick scooters are way too expensive to buy.
