Thai Police Surround Airport

And earlier today we got report of dozens of riot police with weapons and shields at Bangkok's main airport.

About 100 police set up a perimeter at the airport headquarter building, about 300 meters from where protesters are surrounding the main terminal.

This comes after talks with anti-government protesters apparently failed to end a crippling blockade. Earlier, police said they hoped talks with protest leaders would end the standoff, but warned they would quote, "take other steps" if talks failed.

Not just only government that loses the money. It's actually will take a toll on economy as a whole. GOvernment's money comes from tax payers. WIth global economy in crisis as it is, this is not a smart thing to do. It will only sink the country much deeper as it already is.

yeah i understand. but it is the only way to get the gorverment out, they have tired everything but nothing works. so by closing the airport is the best idea for taksin to resign cs then the goverment will loose a lot of money. but what really upset me is people have been killing eachother :( i hope the thai goverment will resign soon so all of this will stop! the 5th of december, things will be better cs its the king's birthday! :)

i am planing to visit thailand at the end of January 2009 and this all situation upsets me really bad ;[i'd never thought that thai people will act this way-don't they understand,that only turists suffer from theit actions???WAKE UP PEOPLE!You make big mistake-nobody wants to go to your country anymore!they prefer sri lanka,malaysia and other,but thailand-thanks no.
