back spot facing of a softer, brittle material like hylam, fibre glass etc is possible with our type of back spot facing too. In reverse rotating, the tool enters he hole; in forward rotation it cuts & again in anti clockwise rotation, it retracts from the hole. We find, carbide inserts with chip breaker is better for machining material like fibre glass than the HSS. In a HSS tool, the machined out fibre glass dust, sticks or cloggs with the cutting edge.
