It took four months, tens of yards of lace and silk, gold thread and organza and a lot of patience...

  • I think its stunning. Now thats a wedding dress that will hold a lot of great memories not only of that special day but of your mom as well. Truly a dress to be proud of wearing and owning. May your marrage be full of success and bliss :)

  • Thank you very much. All the best to you too.

  • 25m of dupioni silk, gold thread and embroidery, pearls and gold organza don't seem to add up to cheap and worn off...maybe you were just looking at the pictures where only the bodice was finished and the skirt was actually just the lining...or maybe not, who knows?

Or maybe Europe is too far?

  • im going to be making my own weddindg dress also. I hate seeing rides in those massley produced dresses. Thats very beautiful and I know the bride felt special.

  • Good for you! It doubles the plasure of the day knowing that you'll be truly unique.

    Good luck!

  • OMG!!.. that is beautiful...its the mos beautifulest wedding dress i have even seen...=D... absolutely stunning....better than those n movies or anywhere else that cost over thousands of dollars.. i love it...=D

  • You look BEAUTIFUL & your Mum is a genius. How special to walk up the aisle in a gown your Mother created. All the best for a wonderful marriage!

  • That dress is incredible and your mom is a genius. I have 4 daughters, I used to sew their summer dresses when they were little and I still sew costumes when needed but I would never take on a wedding dress. The intricate detail on your dress just boggles my mind. You couldn't have gotten anything more special or beautiful at any store. Your mom is my hero!

  • A classic "sour grapes" reaction......
