@TheNYgolfer You should inform Dustin Johnson of that. He`s totally bowed at the top.Regarding the rolling of the hands, whenever you start releasing the club, the head gain speed but the body is slowing down. With the second option you`re keeping the right elbow and right wrist angle intact until late into the swing. So the body is keeping its acceleration and speed. So you can deliver a lot energy. So I would say that you`ll be more powerfull with the second option with a more compressed ball.
I was really struggling with my game last summer and I just couldnt figure out why because i knew I had a good golf swing as i'd seen in on video and I was making the appropriate shoulder turn, hip turn etc. Just for fun one day I tried taking the club face back a little more shut because i was always missing it right. This caused me to bow my wrist and I began hitting it great. I went from shooting 100 to low 80 in a matter of one golf swing.
@TheNYgolfer I actually find the 'stable release' has increased my distance NOT shortened it. I now feel a lot more compression into the ball and the actually hit is not much purer. Previously the rolling was ok but so timing intensive it varied from day-to-day and shot-to-shot. I play off 11h/c and can honestly say the the Stable release is the way forward for me with irons now half a club longer at the vary least and my driving is much improved too.
@chm97chm97 once mastered the "stable release" requires less skill because the timing factor involved in a roll release is eliminated. It is much easier to work the ball in as stable release. The disadvantage is a loss in distance since the rolling action of a roll release actually adds power (#3 accumulator per The Golfing machine). So do you want accuracy or do you want distance? It's a trade off. Do you prefer a 300 yard drive that is 30 yards in the woods or a 260 yard drive in the fairway?
watched numerous videos on youtube featuring Sergio Garcia... I dont see the bowed .. stable release in his swing as you mentioned... I think it would be nice to actually see this bowed .. stable release in a video with both realtime and slow mo... it would help greatly... thanks !
Josh Zander, I congratulate you on these excellent video presentations!

Nice video Josh. Does one release work better for a specific type of swing (one plane vs. two plane)?
