How do you deal with negative ppl when you live with a negative person?

No matter how much things progress, its almost as if they create drama in order to keep it going. Its a losing battle and very discouraging.

I REALLY needed to see this today :-). I'm normally able to stay pretty positive and just let things go. Yesterday though, while visiting my dad, my step-mom made a comment toward me about something that's a sore spot for me and it really brought me down. I have been working through letting it go all day. Your advice will defintely help me to speed up that process and get back to feeling like myself.
