@218bees I have the The Rockets album. It's pretty good. There is some fuzz guitar on it similar to the sound Neil has on his first album, but apparently Neil is not on the album.

@Cornello that's the story as I know it

@LittleRaggie Yeah, that's an awesome site, Michael. I appreciate what you have done. William
P.S. The Bobby Jameson blog is an amazing documentary of the times and includes some moments in Danny's life otherwise unknown.

When I did my first post here, I was just beginning to research Danny Whitten & I made lots of mistakes. Then I learnt how not to make mistakes. Google DANNY RAY WHITTEN & go the 1st entry & you'll see how much I have learnt since then.
M St J is me.

@bassmaster1953 That should be 'south' of Atlanta.

@LittleRaggie I 'm sure you know this by now, but for all the other visitors here ,I will correct his birthplace. It was Columbus, Ga. 70 miles sound of Atlanta on the Chattahoochee river. He's a Georgia boy through and through and it comes through his music. Peace.

Well said.
"Danny Whitten, Ralph Molina and Billy Talbot later formed the band Crazy Horse with Neil Young". Common misconception... Crazy Horse was formed long before Neil was even in the picture. Neil jammed with them and joined them, and then kind of took over and "stole" the band so to speak.

Well, I don't know how it went, as I wasn't there. But IMHO Ralph, Danny and Billy played together in a band as The Rockets with other musicians, not as Crazy Horse.
They only became Crazy Horse after Neil asked them to help him to record some music. Then later he asked the three of them to play with him, so disintegrating The Rockets and renaming the four of them (Neil Young &)Crazy Horse.
