Indians aren't Asian!

Technically Indians are considered Asian since India is in the continent of Asia.
BUT Indians are nothing like Asian people as far as physical features, looks and characteristics go. Indian people are too western looking to be considered Asian, meaning they don't have chinky eyes, yellow skin, or similar body types.
For example, If you see a Chinese person, Korean person, Japanese person, and then you see an Indian person, the Indian person looks nothing like the other three.

If you see an Indian person dating a Chinese person, Is it considered Interracial dating? I would say it is, because the two people are of different skin colors. And if a person is half Indian/half Chinese, would he/she be considered a biracial person, I would also argue that it is biracial.

I would just hope that Asian American Studies would start realizing this fact. We shouldn't be studying Indians in Asian American Studies, they don't belong in the group.

@tanmounika no, Indian people are asian based on geographics, but they are not asian in the "racial" sense. We group Indian people in the same category as Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, who dont look anything remotely like Indian/Pakistani/south and middle eastern asian people do. we should at least acknowledge this.

Take it easy. I think you are right. Indians are not Asians. But I hope you acknowledge Indians are not African or Middle Eastern. Indians are Indians. Indians are a separate race. Having mentioned that I should also mention that Indians don't like to be grouped with mongoloids who according to Indians have very bad food habits, moral values and hygiene.

@LongTimeNoEatPho Did you even read what I wrote? Asian is not a physical trait, but a label to the inhabitants living in Asia. The Mongoloid trait is mostly common in EAST ASIA, SOUTHEAST ASIA, the AMERICAS and the ARCTIC; not South Asia, which India is located. This is like how Mexicans don't look like white Canadians even if they are both North Americans, or how British don't look like Italians in Europe.
