Cell Phones: Can They Really Cause Cancer?

In May 2011, the World Health Organization announced that it had added cell phone radiation to a long list of possible cancer-causing agents.
To learn more, we spoke to URMC neurosurgeon and oncologist Dr. Kevin A. Walter, who directs the program for brain and spinal tumors at URMC. In the clip below, Dr. Walter stresses that the WHO classification is only suggesting a theoretical risk, not actual causation. He also says we'd make much better use of our time and resources if we instead focused on other real and rampant health concerns, like heart disease, diabetes or obesity.
