yes, but dyno charts have shown the power drops off after 16k rpms, so it peaks around 16.

r6 is not good mid range. They are known for good top end.

In the lastest test here in SA (including road, track, dyno figures etc) all of the 600's came out extremely close!
For us mortals not riding in the World Supersport championship, I'd say choose the brand you prefer, and whatever suites you pocket. You can't go wrong with any of the Jap bikes.
Having ridden (extensively) the CBR, R6 and GSXR's I can say from personal experience that it's tough to tell an "speed" difference between them.

ya.....yamaha has good topend. So does suzuki. I think you are right though...most are pretty equal.

Magazine editors were always saying that the R6 had the worst mid-range and bottom end of the big 4. They improved on it somewhat since then with the addition of what they call YCC-I among other things.
