  • really u guys need to read Ed Parker's books. of course it wont work. read the book b4 u talk.

  • Boys, i thank for your critics. I wish that he falls at the first strike, therefore i can resolve more fast the situation. But what technique works to the 100%?. if i want that something works as i hope, i will carry a weapon with me all the time, and even so, i still have possibilities of failing.

  • Nice tape. I like the way you mates move. however that technique would never work. The guy would fall after the kick to the leg. The other 20 shots won't work! Nothing there to hit. Its just for POSING!!! Overkill mates Overkill!!

  • i think american kenpo is no doubt the best stand up fighting no doubt about it.Jeff speakman is awesome,I wish sgm parker was still alive r.i.p

  • This is a technique that targets pain points to shut down neural response. After so many impulses the brain shuts down all messages to the nerves. Thus if you hit an area, multiple times, in rapid succesion, the brain will "fry". This is one of the basic principles of Kenpo. You see him strike multiple times on various different spots, this is what he is working. Not every person has time to throw the punch you speak of or cover up before the pain takes over.

  • Wow you can see how fast he is, when was this taken?

  • I have a black belt in shaolin kenpo, so I like to think I have something to say. It is my observation that punching in the air all the time doesn't teach the student exactly how to handle a fight. In my younger days, I have been in many matches against an opponent who actually knew how to hit a person. Kenpo doesn't get that hard core, in my experience. Mix it up with some MMA or boxing and then I think its gonna rock.

  • @1004w12 Just another perspective on it: I do this as well, as do many of us in Kenpo 5.0. In most instances that we do it, it acts as a counter-balance. The same concept as when our arms move in opposing directions to our legs. There is also a principle called rebounding, where we use our body kind of like the handle of a whip, to make strikes faster, and tighten circles (big circles = big problems). There's a video somewhere on youtube where Mr. Speakman briefly covers this.

  • On a Speakman-Seminar last year I accidentally hit my partner with full power to the face. That was at the beginning of the technique and he didn`t fall, he was not k.o.

in fact he was standing there looking at me.

If you still believe in that old "one hit one kill" nonsense, then good luck.

Thanks for kenpo, that I learn material to be able to stop a fight when it`s really over, instead of do one action and look into the eyes of a raging, pissed off opponent.

  • whose? ukes and stuntmen? well then yeah I guess he does? now let's see him spar against someone who doesn't worship at his cock.

  • that drill in the beginning of the technique is one of the most realistic ways to chase someone with punches. the first time in kenpo that you attack first.

    Great.

  • IT IS BETTER TO HAVE 5 BLOW GIVES 20 % EACH ONE WHO 1 or 2 BLOWS GIVES 100 % ....... IT IS KENPO IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE VISITS AN ACADEMI

  • Ur right hes liek a giant!!

  • I forgot how big and strong dude is. All kidding aside, Speakman is a large man.

  • this parker kempo always makes me think of this pink panther movie with peter sellers, it also reminds me of jonny bravo
