Goose, remember the first law of physics...for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, therefore, mother earth is not immune to this law. If humans upon her are destroying her...well..earth will respond in kind, We are the living cells of earth following the laws of nature which is fractal and holographic. We are all collectively waking up to that fact.

forgive me if I'm a "basher" but as much as "mother earth" has "power to heal us" i have to point out that the earth also offers the most destructive forces man kind has ever experienced. compare Hiroshima to that earth quake in china like 2 years ago. not to mention there are hurricanes, tidal waves, earthquakes thunderstorms that turn into Forrest fires, flash floods, ect. theologically speaking isn't suggesting that something is able to heal, giving divinity to it?

@James92802 while i do not denote the things you say i am curious what the bible has to say about sun gazing and self denial of food. i know there's is the verse "food for the body not the body for food" but i think that was geared towards sabbath practices.
