  • @furlonium1 Same. The cheapest here is whole "leg with back attached". When I get the chance I get chicken in chinatown for making stock. They always have old or "stewing hen", which is by far the best and cheapest. Stewing hen wings are my personal favourite, and normally they cost about $0.89/lb! Hard to beat.

  • Not sure how old this episode is but in the grocery stores around here, thighs and drumsticks are always, always cheaper than wings. In fact, breasts, on sale, are usually cheaper than wings.

I usually pay $.99/lb for drumsticks or thighs, $1.99/lb for boneless skinless breasts on sale, and the wings seem to hover around $2-$2.29/lb. Once in a while they're on sale for $.99/lb and when they are, I "STOCK" up HAHA I just made a joke and almost didn't realize it.

  • LOL "More sauces than you can shake a Frenchman at..." God I love this guy.

  • Good Eats geeks may wish to note that this is the first appearance of Lucky Yates, who would become a recurring character on Good Eats in later seasons (the guy who played Lance Neidermaier.)

  • Haha, teaching nerds to cook since 1999.

  • Fight Club reference! God I love this show!

  • @LikeTheHat WRONG. All chefs have somthing to offer. You're just plain dumb if you think that only one chef can cook and every on else can't. Learn from everyone, even their mistakes and losses, and never idolize one person....even if they are a cooking God like Alton...( I love him too.) XD

  • "...suspiciously sinister"? Like a dungeon, maybe?

  • Did He say How Long to simmer the Stock ? ...

Ramsay has a chicken stock video, he says 20-30 minutes only not to over boil

  • @LikeTheHat 05:24 is this you?
