A new trailer demonstrating allot of the new features and content in the Beta version of Lunar Flight. I know its a bit long could be cut a bit tighter but it has some nicer moments and covers allot of content with some surprises for those that watch it through.

  • This looks marvelous. How much is this gonna cost?

  • @ThreeNineLine Thankyou, it will hopefully be available on Steam for $10 US dollars. If you goto the Lunar Flight website you can make a donation of $5 US or more and this will give you access to the current build. By making a donation you will also be entitled to a copy of the final game and any future updates.

  • Look nice.

But why there are fire and smoke after crashing on the moon ?

  • @Kevmal47 Because it would look less spectacular without it... yes I know fire cannot burn without oxygen it can if it has a fuel source though.

  • @MrSeanCE I'm by no means a marketing expert, but I don't think the target audience of this game would prefer spectacle over realism...

  • @slackeriii2 My target audience is not just hardcore space simulation fans. There are many people who find space fascinating but are not experts and would prefer to be entertained than have 'realism' dictate the experience.

  • @Kevmal47 Fire can burn in space due to the temporary oxygen source from whatever spacecraft is exploding.

You're not being "a wonderful person, with a great personality, who is fun to be with, nice to everyone, and especially caring about peoples feelings", as quoted in your YouTube profile.

It was an innocent question, I have both OS's installed, as I code both on and for Windows and Linux.

  • @PodeCoet Why don't you get a real OS, and make life easier for programmers?

  • @MrSeanCE personally I find realism entertaining, even though I'm not a "hardcore sim fan" - and I think people will marvel at a game that is dedicated and worked-through properly. Besides, these explosions are not really big or pretty enough to actually be spectacular.

It was kind of a turn-off for me to see the explosion, cause we've seen sooo many of those - I would actually really like to se a vessel (of any sort, in any game) crumble, instead of explode, upon impact.

  • @MrSeanCE hmm maybe there should be two modes - "arcade" and "simulation"

  • crazy games out there - thanks for the tip!

  • What a fantastic game! Any chance you'll be releasing a version for Linux?

  • what's missing are the astronauts.

  • Wow, after playing with just this early release I am already loving it! You took a great old favorite and truly made it so much better. It's tough to fly, but lots of fun learning!

I love the Depth of Field. It really gives it such a dynamic look. Superb handling. It really feels like you think it should.

I would love to see another view added though. One that you can pan around the outside module in any direction and have it stay where you want it. If it's there, I missed it.

    Great job!

Alright, my wife just sent a donation your way so I can give this a try myself! I sent you an email hoping you could send the email link to me instead of her so I don't have to wait until she comes home. :) Thx!
