@Lelindir The Emperor showed him the true way, that there is no good or evil...but thinking that makes it so. Padme betrayed Vader, even after he offered to kill Sidious and bring order to the galaxy he was going to raise his child in, "I dont know you anymore, your going down a path I cant follow"-Betrayal.

The emperor, because he weakened the mind of Anakin, to use him as a sword, while making him uncertain of good and evil. In the end, he killed Padmé himself by breaking her heart, and that was because he stepped over to the dark side. You can blame Anakin for it, or Obi-Wan, but the true villain is Palpatine, because he started it all.
