Sept 20 2008 We headed down to Kahana bay to see the Hokulea.
We went across the street where they had entertainment from students from New Zealand and all put on an outstanding performance.. They had Hawaiian food in which Aunties and Uncles told us to go eat.. ah it was so so ono and with the music took me back to my younger days.. Cookin Hawaiian food is a task.. I know for we had to cook it twice a year and not the easy kine way we had to grate da coconuts and squeeze em and make chicken luau and cuttin tomatoes and those eye watering onions for lomi-lomi salmon.. So after eatin and listening to ol' kine music from da good old days we went back across the street and saw the Hokulea ..It was jus one of the best days I had in a long long time.. It took me back to Ol' Hawaii... So Mahalo Nui Loa to all you guys who took time out to kokua .. and special thanks to da crew of the Hokulea and the New Zealand guests who performed.. You guys were AWESOME
Excellent video. The effect used is cool. We saw the Hokulea when it came into SF Bay. The history of Polynesian navigation is amazing.
