I was 5th row-stage right, for this show, still have my ticket stub. Most memorable tune, aside from "Do you feel": "Black Hole Sun". I even got back stage to me him briefly after the show. Humble, thankful, gracious. Can't wait to see him in Tucson this Wed.
WELL DUH he is going to have a bug ego! dude he was a GOD for so many years and praised to no end! i mean if you had tons of people paying huge money to see you play music wouldnt you consider yourself to be "awesome" or something?? and personally i think peter frampton is and was amazing he has talent like i have never seen :) f**k the rap and sh!t today this is SO much better! goodness what has music come to!!??!!! :( peace
The only way I can read and reply to comments made to this video is WITH THE SOUND OFF SO I WON'T HAVE TO HEAR THAT GAWD AWFUL ATTEMPT BY FRAMPTON TO REMAKE A TRUE SOUL MUSIC MASTERPIECE.
Frampton should remake some of Elvis Presley's tunes and then try to work his way up to the GREAT Stevie Wonder.
Yeah, Audley rocks! wasn`t a Cry of Love fan (though I`m now!), but the first time I heard Audley was when he played in Black Crowes. I live in Finland so there`s not so many chances to see him play live :-), but he`s really a master of tone and a great sideman. Hope he puts on a band of his own!
I don't believe it! Someone who recognized Audley Freed! Are you a Cry of Love fan? What an awesome band! I saw them at a place in Southern California (Redlands) called Whiskey Creek. They were unbelievably good - sounded just like the CD. A great time, indeed. Oh, by the way, I am a huge Frampton fan too!
Frampton is a good singer and exceptional player. A class by himself? hardly! Plenty of much better singer and far less, equal guitar players. Lyrics are not great but OK. His Ego is massive for those who have heard long interviews with him. I'm sure he's bitter about how much better his career could have (should have) been! Had he never agreed to try acting in maybe the worst movie I have ever seen in my life, he would have stayed popular for a lot longer. Still a very good (and fun) live act.
Thank God I was a teen when there was real rock and real musicians...think emenenema or any of those other no-talent rap crappers could play this? Thanks for showing them how it's done Pete...
You can't beat the Stevie Wonder version, but Stevie like the idea of Frampton doing the song in a rock vibe. If Stevie likes it, I like it.
