Alhambra Motor Officer Involved in Crash

www.rmgnews.com A police officer on a motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Alhambra, a sergeant said today. The accident occurred at Garfield Avenue and Alhambra Road about 9:45 last night, said Alhambra police Sgt. Dan Rodriguez.
The officer, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital with non-
life-threatening injuries, Rodriguez said. The driver of the other vehicle stopped at the scene. It was unclear if he was cited, he said.

So very sad, this was the officer killed over the weekend (7/9 & 7/10/2011 when another Alhambra officer vehicle collided with his vehicle.

I was near the intersection when the accident happened. After 18 months off due to his injuries, the Alhambra Police Officer returned to work.

The chinese drivers in this area and the near by areas are the most dengerous drivers in the world. Back in their country either they dont have a car or they ride a bike till they are 50 yrs old , then they come to the US and they jump in a car over night. They are big source of income from ticket violations.

i hope the officer was alright. the driver seems okay though. i remember coming home one night and having the streets blocked off. i didnt know what went on. now i do, thanks for the post. alhambra pd has really good policing equipments and vehicle compare to alot of other departments. i remember in nebraska, some departments still have motorcycle that we used back in the late 1990's.
