Nutt told the BBC that Brown had "made up his mind" to reclassify cannabis despite evidence to the contrary.

"Gordon Brown comes into office and, soon after that, he starts saying absurd things like cannabis is lethal... it has to be a class B drug. He has made his mind up.

"We went back, we looked at the evidence, we said, 'No, no, there is no extra evidence of harm, it's still a class C drug.' He said, 'Tough, it's going to be class B'."

Nutt said: "He is the first prime minister, this is the first government, that has ever in the history of the Misuse of Drugs Act gone against the advice of its scientific panel."

30% of the UK has smoked cannabis. None of those died from directly smoking it.. Stop destroying decent families by criminalising mothers and fathers and good citizens that just want a relaxing smoke, just like you would relax with a glass of wine. Also especially people that benefit from it medicinally.

I live in the UK not sure if its safe to say this in case i get my door kicked in by the police but iv been smoking weed for years and they cant stop anyone we have homes and dealers are plenty let people smoke it and buy it feeling safe and im sure the government will rake in the money and solve this whole financial situation that the UK seems to be in and other parts of the world too US of course anyway im sure the weed smokers will keep smoking no matter what they do so just LEGALIZE.
