The Book of Enoch shows that the 200 Watchers/Angels were bound in the Earth for 70 Generations, Psalms 90:10 Generation 70 years.
70x70=4900 years ago, roughly time of Flood.
Beast rises out of Abyss and rules for 42 months Revelation 13:5

  • Your math is flawed. Yes, a generation may be 70 years long, as in a person may live for 70 years, but it does not take 70 years for another generation to begin, which your math implies. For example, are you, your parents, and your grandparents each 70 years apart? No, its about 30 years give or take a few. So each generation comes roughly 30 years after its predecesor, making your math 70 generatons x 30 years = 2100 years after the flood, meaning the nephilim nonsense would have happened befo

  • @goaliepat

By bible standards, there is a case where the Jew's went to Egypt for 4 Generations, which was equal to 400 years.

So 70 year Generation of Psalms 90:10, could mean 4900 years from the Flood until sometime very soon!

  • Fallen Watchers making groaning sounds in the Earth - interesting concept to ponder.

Hope you'll approve my video response, Mark.

    Blessings!

  • the bible talks of 70 x 7 for the children of Israel and is why Jesus said to forgive them 70 x 7 as well wow good catch

  • @Billthesheepdog I'm open minded, as long as the book of Enoch doesnt effect my faith

  • @good4larry I can accept that as it is your decision to make. It makes one wonder why those bibles were decided to be 'non inspired' sometimes. Enoch has so much in it that is opinion and conjecture and certainly not in agreement with other books of the bible. Its hard to say that some of it could be inspired and the rest trash. I lean towards not inspired by God. One day we will know for sure!

  • @Billthesheepdog Enoch's prophecy in Jude 14-15 is a direct quote from the Book of Enoch, Book 1: Watchers, chapter 1, verse 9. I don't see disagreements with scripture, only that it was written from a different dispensation & point of view that is largely unavailable to me. At least what Jude quotes is inspired, since it's in the Bible. I wouldn't presume to equate it with scripture, but since Peter (II Peter 2:4) & Jude respect it, I hold it as at least reliable history.

  • @good4larry How so? It disagrees (Enoch) with other books. Does any other book do that? There is good reason it is not part of the bible. If you would listen to Enoch then you might be swayed my Mark also. I am not.

  • @Billthesheepdog Jude disagrees.

  • Hey, Mark! I appreciate your thoughts. Personally, I think God has exactly what He intended in scripture; having inspired its writers, I don't think He withdrew from the critical selection of canon. I consider the books of Enoch & Jasher as histories I must respect, since scripture references each twice. Genesis would be our only reliable chronicle of pre-flood events now, if God had not brought these to light. "By 2 or 3 witnesses let every word be established." That's what He's done. PTL

  • @goaliepat You have put some thought into this! Psalm 91:10 says 70 yrs are APPOINTED unto man (for a lifespan). There are 2 passages I'd have to look up in the OT where men are called out between the ages of 21-60 for service; 20 or less was too young, more than 60 was too old. Therefore, 40 yrs marks the PRODUCTIVITY of a generation. Enoch's prophecy fits with the lifespan prescribed in scripture. NOTE** Jesus said "THIS GENERATION WILL NOT PASS AWAY..." referring to lifespan!

  • @markfriesen1979 the israelites went into egypt for 430 years, the second time they went into bondage again was by ships(deut 28 68 slavery by ships)this event was for 400 years ,or just google 400 yrs of slavery and see who identifies with it? or you can simply read lam 5 10 or wiki hebrew,Hebrew (/ˈhiːbruː/) (עִבְרִית, Ivrit, is a Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family.Culturally, it is considered by Jews and other religious groups as the language of the Jews
