unfortunately you are correct

Hm... I should probably wait until I hear the full song, but so far I like it better when he performs this song live.

It hurts me to say this, but it sounds like shit.

Oh, loving the Marshall MG15 tone...
-
the guitar is gonna be sick

i don't want to judge it until i hear the full thing.. but this isn't the way i thought he would take it.. the tone sounds like something i could get out of my first 20$ distortion pedal. i mean it's completely lacking the top end. i loved the tone he used for the second nokia show, when he played crossroads on it's own. that was a really cool way to play it, lacking a bit of polish and a few more interesting riffs, but in terms of guitar, it was there.. but then this is only 30 seconds i guess

im glad he did his own thing with this song

ya i totally agree, i totally love him traveling in different directions, and the full songs ive heard from this album are great, but some of the other snippets i heard seem kinda like generic acoustic guitar songs, which hopefully they turn out not to be

So very true. But making an album very similar to Comtinuum - would that be a good idea? I mean, there is a obvious change in his way of making music, if we look at his earlier albums, why stop the change now?
As I see it, there might not be as much focus on the guitar on Battle Studies as there was on Continuum, but in spite of how much I love his way of playing the guitar on Continuum, I'm really looking forward to hearing Battle Studies.

hes definitely going in a different direction, and im cautious of it too, but im liking this track
hmm ive seen various videos of him playing this, my favorite with clapton of course, but im glad to see him put his own personal touch on it and not just make it an exact copy of the original. sounds cool
