I lived with 2 German girls in college and they had no concept of the immersion....they'd turn it on every morning and it'd stay on till i turned it off. the stress of monitoring that immersion far outweighed any exam pressure that year. Needless to say it was th first & last time i ever lived with foreign students.

I just turned on my emersion heater then sat down to wait and clicked on this! Only when visiting my mum do I have to negotiate for hot water! ie: can i put the ermersion on - can't you wait for the heating to come on?!
