One of the great Kenny Baker/Bill Monroe fiddle tunes. My arrangement is based on Butch Robins' seminal recording on Rounder "The 5th Child" Tuned to GMinor tuning with parts that are pretty challenging to play.

Challenging--but not impossible (my club mitts worked their way around the tune, didn't they?)

Again, Butch Robins and Bob Black blazed the trail for picking Monroe tunes and my arrangement--including dropping the banjo into Gminor tuning--comes from hanging around Butch. I'm just trying to capture the soul of Monroe (since I'm also a mandolinist) while using Butch as inspiration.
