Reagan Assassination Attempt- A Closer Look

Here is a compilation of all my video and still clips of the Washington Hilton incident. Some are more rare than others. This is yet another American tragedy. The worst of human behavior and the bravest, all in one video. Please notice there is no mention of or video images of the loser gunman. It's too bad the mainstream media does not understand that they create the problem.(or maybe they do) He is a waste of skin and air. As of 2007, we are still paying to keep this scum alive. Now he's trying to get unsupervised furlows from St. Elizabeth's hospital to go to baseball games and visit his family. Boo Hoo. His crime was calculated and planned out. He knew it was wrong. We can clearly see he waited until officer Delahanty turned away before he acted. Apparently he grew tired of masturbating with pictures of Jodie Foster and wanted her to notice him. Disgusting. It's the system that found him innocent - that is insane. The video quality is what it is. It was a study in people's actions, reactions and inactions under extreme stress that interested me. To keep my time line as I was editing I came up with names for some of the main background players. The "Rain Man.""The Running Man"(he carried the "football", the briefcase with the nuclear launch codes 1:50 ) "Dr. Uzi.". "Mr Black." "Popeye" etc. I thought of highlighting things that seemed odd or interesting to me - but I decided to let you find your own. From the first shot to extraction of the gunman was about 2 minutes and 10 seconds. With slow motion and still frames, time slows down so we can understand what was happening. My hopes and prayers go out to the Delahanty, Brady, McCarthy and Reagan families. To this day, Jim Brady has heard nothing from the gunman's camp. No apology or explanation. Nothing. Coward. Wouldn't that be your first step toward "sanity"? I am pro gun. I am pro Brady bill (5 day waiting period only it. goes much deeper than that) even though it has been proven that it does nothing to deter crime. Brady was shot in the head and survived - and today leads one of the largest anti-gun movements in the world. Although, according to the Brady Campaign website, the attempt on Reagan's life wasn't the "straw that broke the camels back". Not long after Jim was "gunned down", Sarah Brady was outraged all over again when her then six-year-old son Scott found what he thought was a toy gun in a relatives pickup truck. In fact, it was not a toy. It was a fully loaded handgun. Why is this country to blame for their family's stupidity? Their relative allowing access of the firearm, to a child, is a problem within their gene pool - not of all Americans. It seems odd to me that the first step in protecting her son was for Sarah to go after the guns, and not teach her child about them. The Brady's blame the NRA for their relatives stupidity and the Hilton's gunman actions. The Brady bunch claims they're committed to ending gun violence - therbuy putting the NRA and gun violence on the same ticket as if the two are related and have bearing on one another.The actions of agent Timothy McCarthy make me proud to be an American. The actions of the gunman make me ashamed. "Dr Uzi" seemed to be the agent in charge. Too little, too late in my opinion. At 4:57 we see him baffled and unable to manipulate the collapsible stock on his weapon and look to agent "Popeye" and smirk as if to say "We'll be talking about this one at the water cooler Monday morning". It looks to me like the detail was lax that afternoon. No one wore a vest. They were spread out too far. How did the gunman get into the press area? I'm sure there was an interesting "team" meeting after that one. They watch and study that footage to this day. Rightfully so.

A poison tipped dart from a mini blow-chute would have killed Reagan on the spot, possibly w/o ever knowing who did it. Incidents with guns like this serve a different purpose, but I doubt you'll try to see it.
