You are going to be told many things, but like you did, you have to think for yourself. Look now at California they are really 24 Billion in the hole and talking about cutting will it be real real..I know they are going to pay the homegivers/helpers a max of 8.45 an hour, and in California, means they going to get crappy care in my estimate.

dont depend on your goverment...get off your ass and make some thing of your life...in the US any one can suceed....

Our country actually encourages poverty. I was told to become homeless so I can be on top of the list to get a housing voucher. I started looking into more affordable housing but was told I could not get in because I was full time college student. They told me to get pregant! I was also told to drop out of college! The government has very low standards for people; they don't want to see them suceed and get an education.

The saddest part of America is it's people
who accept their condition and make excuses for the Govt because they are too brainwashed to understand that USA is over and is coming to an end it is they who will be left behind
the revolution will not be televised
but it is coming those that work 100 hours and make excuses for the govt will be left behind

I think to cure poverty you need to get all people to be able to have comfort, intellectual and spiritual cultivation, acscess to resources that enrich and help self cultivate, as well as healthy amounts of leisure and plenty of choice and opportunities to persue positive goals, health care, all facsetts and circumstances and situations need to be examined--ideas like basic income, health care and education reform, wealth ceilings, etc, minnimum wage index, there are a lot of ways that can be used

Extravagence, I think that there ought to be wealth ceilings, Povety is like quicksand once you fall in it you cant get out and problems compound and things get worse, there are so many aspects to society and civilization that reinforse poverty, and inequality. There are so many unexamined dimly lit corners that are over looked and experiential aspects that cant be understood unless one is poor oneself, it is a struggle from the lower middle class and gets worse as you go down.

CYOA comes to mind. Oh, yeah, and stop whing and get over it. How Americans ever got this idea we somehow deserve life on a silver platter while the rest of the world suffers is mind boggling. I work almost 100 hours a week to get by and make a better life. You want to sit around the dump feeling sorry for yourself, well, good luck improving your situation. Uncle Sam might show up to rescue you. If you're hanging on that, I feel for you.
