132mph on pit road thats like 62mph over the speed limit and they give him just a stop and go penalty? But they Give Jaques a 2 lap penalty for mistakenly passing the Safety Car for about 2 seconds and then dropping back to where he was supposed to be? something seems a bit odd there don yah think??

@romero2k Actually, CART didn´t sanctioned the Indy 500, it was under control of the USAC

There's a reason USAC doesn't sanction any more, cause they're idiots. First this with Villeneuve, then the famous True Value 500 in 1997, where, despite Luyendyk being the obvious winner, the scoring system said Billy Boat had won.
-
USAC was gone from Indy within three years. Now you know one of the many things that led to their demise.

At 9:04, The former Ferrari driver Stefan Johansson was in 3rd place and dropped to the back of the field due to a puncture on the right rear tyre.

this was just a great race. Just Awesome.

That was garbage, CART penalized Villenueve & they were the ones that messed up. Didn't matter though cause he won anyway...
-
it that replay they showed at 00:40 is what caused Vilenueve 2 laps then that is the stupidest things ive ever seen. he got back in line for one and for another it was very confusing as the pacecar was waving ppl past.
:38 two lap penalty for that? how rediculous but it just shows how good Jaques Villeneuve was that day he came down from 2 laps to win, he won the Indianapolis 505!

Just as fucking brilliant and thrilling as it was when I was a little 4 year old kid with a Jaques Villeneuve hot wheel watching this race live.
Thanks for posting.
