Hello, with the Hornby track, is this made out of Nickel Silver, and so will my track rust when I put 50:50 PVA and Water? Cheers.

@twto93 Regarding laying cork there is also another great product that is easier to use and overall I think better thank cork. Try going and picking up some foam roadbed. The overall advantage to this is that you dont have to soak it to bend it and it deadends the noise of the wheels from your trains. It can be put down with any adhesive and it stays put.

That is correct. The only downsides to doing that is you lose the sound insulation from having cork roadbed underneath your track plus you lose the roadbed "profile"

you don not have to have a cork road bed, you can ballast directly on the wood.

Hmmm...Other than laying cork roadbed in the main yard I'm pretty much done with that stage. I did take some pictures while I was building the mountain area. If you go to my YouTube profile page there is a link to my website. When you get to my site click on the "Construction Progress" link. When you get to the Construction Progress page, the links called "November 2003" and "January 2004" have pictures of how I built the sub roadbed and laid the cork roadbed. Hope this helps.
